>> National Men's 40 Tennis Championships

The National Men's 40 Indoor Tennis Championship takes place
from May 21st through May 26th at the Oxford Athletic Club
in Monroeville. 

Matches begin Friday at 10 am and on Saturday at 10:30 am.

In addition to the singles and doubles competitions,
tournament organizers have scheduled a series of interactive
tennis events for the public as well as a silent auction. 

Spectators are welcome and admission is free.

For men 35 and older.  Held at Washington Park, Washington,

Takes place June 16-20 at the Wheeling Oglebay Tennis Club,

>> Senior Doubles Players Needed for USTA Team

Looking for 3.5  male senior tennis players. One must reach
their 50th birthday any time in 2004. I have been on teams
that have gone to Princeton five out of the last six years.
The schedule of play is three doubles matches which would be
played on Sundays. This is a USTA sanctioned league and all
players must be members of USTA. If interested contact:

>> Shaler Tennis League

The Shaler tennis league begins in June and runs through mid
September.  It is for both men and women and is divided into
ability levels from beginners to intermediate to advanced
players.  Men's and women's doubles as well as mixed doubles
divisions are also available.  Trophies are awarded at the
end of the season for the two players in each category with
the best win-loss record.  The entry fee is $12.  You do not
have to live in Shaler to play in the league.  Most players
play their matches at Shaler High School, but they can be
played elsewhere.  For more information call Joe Altman at:

Meets Thursday eve (6 ish) and Sunday late afternoon. 3.0-
4.0 players.  Looking for new regulars for doubles and some
singles play. Players currently in group are between 45-62 yo.

Tennis players 50 and older who are interested in competing
in the 2005 National Senior Olympic Games in Pittsburgh must
first qualify next month at the Keystone State Senior Games
at Shippensburg State University.  The entry deadline is
June 1.
